On September 28, 2023, Brandon Baerwald was our speaker for our September Speaker Series. He did a presentation on using ale yeasts at lager temperatures.
Brandon started homebrewing in 2005 and it quickly went from hobby to passion. After finishing his PhD in physiology in early 2017, he left academia to brew professionally at Nokomis Craft Ales in Saskatchewan. After moving to Prince George, BC in late 2019 and working for another local brewery there for a year, he teamed up with friends to build Deadfall Brewing Company.
